Nathalie Lalonde Goldhar
I have lived in Chaplin Estates for the last 20 years with my husband, our two children, and Ally, our Nova Scotia Duck Toller. Our children attended Toronto French School (TFS) where I was an active parent, and now they’re in University at Western and Guelph pursuing Business and International Development Programmes.
Originally from Montreal and fluent in French, I lived in London, England before returning to Canada. I have an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business and have previously worked in marketing and communications for J. Walter Thompson and Communiqué on various packaged goods accounts.
My family makes helping others a part of our daily lives. We are actively involved with Israel Cancer Research Fund (ICRF), an organization focused on finding treatments and cures for cancer for the benefit of patients throughout the world. We also support and volunteer every Sunday with Lawyers Feed the Hungry – a charity which fights hunger and provides meals to residents in need in Toronto.
I bring many skills to the real estate profession including an uncompromising attention to detail and a strong ability to negotiate on behalf of my clients. Importantly, I understand how to listen to my clients’ needs and provide the service and value they expect.
My family has lived in North Leaside for almost 20 years! We raised our three children in East York and Leaside and they are graduates of Northlea and Leaside High School. We love living near Bayview Avenue and value having so many parks and trails nearby for walking and biking. We take time to appreciate the lakes, scenery and activities which are found in our city and also at our Island cottage on the Trent-Severn Waterway in Port Severn.
In our community, I am proud to be a member of the Board of Management which operates the North Toronto Memorial Arena. North Toronto Arena is a well-managed city rink which is a great example for our city and an important part of my family’s sense of neighbourhood. I also share the executive position of Membership at CFUW Leaside-East York (Canadian Federation of University Women), which supports education and rights for women here and throughout the world while promoting social and educational events for its local members. We do good things for women and girls in our community!
Professionally I worked in Construction Management before entering Real Estate, which gave me a strong background in materials, costs and building methods and experience with contractors, estimating and project schedules.
A graduate of the U of I at Champaign, Illinois, I worked in Texas (Austin, Corpus Christi, Brownsville and Victoria) for six years. I met my husband and relocated to Toronto, which wasn’t too much of an adjustment as I grew up in Chicago, another great city on a Great Lake.
